  • Request a photo in relation to a fine

    Have you received an administrative fine, a fine for a traffic offence, or a parking fine? You can request a photo. You can only request a photo if the offence is in your name. If the offence is not in your name, you cannot request a photo. Within 1 week you will receive a response and the photo (if available).

  • Address investigation

    If you believe that someone is registered to your address but does not live there, you can request an address investigation. This is requested online using DigiD. The council checks whether the data in the Personal Records Database (BRP) are correct.

  • ID card for Breda residents

    Apply for an ID card at the council. Arrange an appointment beforehand. Pay when you make the request. The ID card will be ready for you after 6 working days. Collect the identity document in person.

  • Registration of foreign documents

    Life events that took place abroad, for example birth, marriage, death, divorce, recognition of a child, adoption or change of surname, must be recorded in your council’s registration database (BRP). When you return to the Netherlands present the original documents at the council where you live.

  • Extract from the civil registry

    A life event, such as a birth, marriage, death or divorce, is recorded in a deed by the council where the event took place. This deed remains with that council. You can order a copy of the deed if the event took place in the district of Breda. The extract is dealt with and sent by post within 7 working days. Remember that delivery by post can take longer.

  • Registration in the Register of Non-Residents

    If you plan to stay in the Netherlands for less than 4 months, live abroad and you need a citizen service number (BSN) for dealing with the Dutch government, you can register as a non-resident. Arrange an appointment beforehand. A citizen service number is called a BSN number. Your personal details are recorded in the Register of Non-Residents (RNI).

  • Moving to or within Breda

Please inform us of your new address no more than 4 weeks before you move house, but no later than 5 days after the day you moved.
